A New Journey, A New Beginning. While drafting the 15th Five-Year Plan, the Engineering Training Center (Innovation and Entrepreneurship College) has already laid the groundwork for innovation by planning to integrate AI technology into the electrical internship program starting December 2025. This initiative will serve as a pilot for project-based teaching reform.

The reform project is led by Director Chen of the Engineering Training Center (also Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College). Ms. He Zhimin from the Electrical Teaching and Research Office facilitated collaboration with industry engineers to demonstrate the application of AI technology in real-world products.

To ensure the effective implementation of this project-based electrical internship course, Engineer Jiang Wuqi from Suzhou Sidepu Information Technology Co., Ltd. conducted a half-day training session on November 19, 2025. The training was attended by selected teachers from the Electrical Teaching and Research Office and all instructors from the Electrical Training Department.

During the session, the engineer introduced the latest AI applications in product development. Teachers actively engaged in discussions, particularly regarding the installation of  espidef (AI) software and Arduino library software, seeking practical guidance from the engineer. The engineer provided comprehensive support, assisting with everything from hardware setup to accessing C language databases. The training proved highly enlightening, allowing teachers to appreciate the transformative potential of AI technology.

Equipped with this knowledge, teachers can now guide students in using the installed software for self-directed online learning. This marks a shift from the traditional instructor-led approach, empowering students to leverage AI tools to solve problems encountered during their studies.
